Dr. Ferdowsian was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. She attended Boston College for her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Medical Humanities. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco where she, upon graduation, was awarded the American College of Prosthodontists Award and Northern California Outstanding Leadership Award. She worked for a large dental practice in the Bay Area for 2 years before moving to South Bend with her husband, an assistant professor in the University of Notre Dame Economics Department.  

Dr. Ferdowsian likes to joke about herself as “the dentist born through experience, instead of the one with the perfect teeth.” An unfortunate bike accident during college has necessitated numerous dental treatments. Inspired by the brilliant care she received, Dr. Ferdowsian aims to provide compassionate, gentle, and preventative care that is informative, evidence-based and patient-focused.  “I am incredibly honored to join the University Park Family Dental team and look forward to serving the greater South Bend community,” said Dr. Ferdowsian.  Dr. Ferdowsian is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Outside of the office, she continues her education to stay up to date on industry knowledge and fine tune her skills. She also enjoys playing board games, hiking, and camping with her family and friends.
